Mike Lempko’s blade mission across the United States, from the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco to the Atlantic Ocean in New York City, is finally coming to a finish this upcoming Saturday (September 29th). Mike is inviting everyone to come celebrate with him when he reaches his final destination at Rockaway Beach.
The Details
The moment has come! For those that know and others who don’t, Mike Lempko has been rollerblading across the country this summer, and the 3600+ mile journey will come to and end this Saturday at the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on Rockaway Beach in Queens, NY.
This trip has been defined by all of the people who have helped and supported Mike along the way, so there’s no better way to cap it off than a fiesta for all!
The Timinmg
2pm or close to it: Will be rolling in to Rockaway Beach to hit the beach and the Atlantic Ocean for the official trip finish. For any who would like to bike, blade, or very quickly run to the finish, I’ll be coming in via the Marine Parkway Bridge from Brooklyn. I’ll post the exact route and some timing details in here Friday afternoon, though
3-6pm: Thai Rock has been kind enough to host the spot for the celebration. We’ll have a good amount of food for everyone to feast on and a portion of all bar proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry while you’re there.
